The National Green Energy Fund (NGEF) has launched its first-ever product catalogue that has in it a list of approved solar home systems and microgrids eligible for funding by NGEF.

Vanuatu’s delegation to the Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany, from June 6 to 16 engaged in a number of bilateral meetings.

The National Green Energy Fund (NGEF) Board approved and committed up to 8 million Vatu in loan funding to the Shefa Provincial Council’s ‘Let there be light’ Project for the installation of solar streetlights at Beverly Hills, Blacksands and Bladinier Estate in Port Vila. 

Vanuatu delegates are gathering with the rest of the world in Germany starting this week from June 6 to 17 to discuss the earth’s future, which is currently being threatened by climate change.

The Ministry of Climate Change Adaptation (MoCCA) through Vanuatu’s National Designated Authority (NDA) is pleased to announce two significant projects on Climate Change Adaptation, the Climate Change in the Coastal Zone in Vanuatu (VCAP 2) and Vanuatu Climate Change Resilience Project (VCCRP).

The Ministry of Climate Change, Meteorology and Geo-Hazards, National Disaster Management Office, Energy, and Environment Protection reviewed and validated its Corporate Plan for 2022 to 2026.

World Wetlands Day is celebrated annually on February 2 to raise awareness about wetlands.This year’s theme, as set by the Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands, is “Wetlands Action for People and Nature”.
