PUBLIC DISCLOSURE NOTICE — SESA AND ESIA FOR ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED UNDER VCAP II PROJECT

The Ministry of Climate Change, with funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through UNDP, has prepared a Strategic Environment and Social Assessment (SESA) and an Environment and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for activities under Adaptation to Climate Change in the Coastal Zones of Vanuatu Phase II (VCAP II) Project. These documents are now available for public review and comment.

Public review period: 18 February – 4th March 2026 (2 weeks).

Purpose:

To inform all stakeholders including communities throughout Vanuatu about the SESA and ESIA findings and to invite feedback to help finalize mitigation measures and implementation arrangements.

All comments received during the review period will be considered in finalizing the SESA and ESIA and will inform project implementation.
