Department of Meteorology & Geo-Hazards
The Vanuatu Meteorology and Geo-Hazards Department (VMGD) has a vision to be a world class meteorological and geo-hazards institution that contributes to the sustainable development of Vanuatu, and the Pacific region.
VMGD consists of seven divisions that carry out functions as they are named by.
These divisions are Administration; Weather Forecasting and Services; Climate; Climate Change/Project Management Unit; Geo-Hazards; Observations; and ICT/Engineering.
VMGD is the biggest Department under the Ministry.
